Peter Obi Suspend Campaign and goes to Court due to INEC refusal to let Labour Party Inspect election materials.

It has been gathered from his official twitter handle the reason why Peter Obi Suspend Campaign and is going to Court.

In the official twitter handle of the Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi, he states his reasons for suspending the campaign which he had initially slated to begin today.

He urge all his supporters to continue campaigning for the governorship aspirants of the Labour party in it’s various states.

The reasons why Peter Obi suspend campaign and went to court was due to the fact that INEC refused the Labour Party inspect the election materials of the Election that was conducted on 25th February 2023.

Quoting him directly from his twitter handle he stated:

“I am supposed to commence our whistle-stop campaign for our various Labour Party Governorship and State Assembly Candidates today.

Initially, my trip was to take me to Nasarawa, Lagos, Enugu, Abia, Delta, Edo, Rivers, Plateau, Borno, etc.
However, following INEC’s refusal to allow our party to inspect the materials (including BVAS) from the 25th February presidential elections, I am personally heading to the Court today with our lawyers.
It is also imperative that Obidients vote for candidates with Competence, Character, Capacity, and Compassion.
I remain committed and will give more attention to our mission of retrieving our mandate. A new Nigeria is possible! -PO “
All of this is happening days after the Presidential Election which resulted to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress as it’s winner.
He won the three other contenders with a very wide margin of millions of votes.
Though there are controversies over the flaw in the election process, majorly caused by INEC.
In one instance there was delay in the delivery of the election materials and it’s staff to the respective units.
