BREAKING: KEKE DRIVER KILLED BY POLICE OFFICER IN PORT HARCOURT

During the early hours of Thursday, 10th Dec. 2020, what appeared to be a little dispute between a Keke driver and a Police Officer resulted in the death of the Keke driver.

Eyewitnesses report that it started as a little dispute because of #100. They said the Police officer requested for the money, being a normal “bribe” the Keke drivers who plied the Rukpokwu road paid.

After the death of the young Keke driver at about 9 am, other drivers and the crowd tried to attack the station in the resulting riot. Sporadic gunshots were made by the officers at the station to disperse the crowd.

Reports have it that there are more deaths and injuries due to the incident that occurred in Rukpokwu Town, Port Harcourt.

The incident appears to be another situation of Police brutality in Nigeria. Though some eyewitnesses say it resulted from an EndSARS campaign protest, we cannot tell for now.
