From the information we got, it was gathered that a ghastly motor accident occurred a few minutes past 11am at Utu Ikot Ekpeyong, along Uyo – Ikot Ekpene highway.
This is indeed a sad incident in which the people close by rushed to rescue the occupant of the vehicle.
According to an eye witness, a lone driver of a Toyota Carina E with the registration number SMK 631 CZ while approaching Ikot Ekpene from Ikpe Annang junction lost control of his vehicle due to the front tyre that burst.

So that the vehicle can be recovered and the person will be taken care of in the hospital.
It was gathered that he ran through the pavement and pulled down two street lights but to God be the glory, he didn’t lose his life in the accident.
At the time of the report, the driver can be described as a dark Elderly man between 60-70. The rescuers acted swiftly and rushed him to Ikot Ekpene general hospital.
