Wizkid and Burna Boy emerge as winners in the MOBO awards 2020.
It was a big news for this two popular award winning singers Ayo Balogun, popularly known as wizkid and the legendary singer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy as there both emerged winners at different categories in the Music of Black Origin (MOBO),2020 Edition.
The Music of Black Origin (MOBO),2020 Edition was held virtually on Wednesday Night, the event was streamed live on their youtube channel and adorned the best and brightest talents in the UK’s thriving Black music scene, as well as more established UK and international names. It was hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz.
There was some performances in the event from Headie One feat. M Huncho, H.E.R, Tiana Major 9, Young T and Bugsey, Ms Banks etc.
Burna was in the competition with the likes of top international stars like Drake, Pop Smoke, Megan Thee, Kofee, Roddy Ricch, Summer Walker, H.E.R, Popcaan, Shenseea, and Lil Baby, but he came out as the ”Best International Artiste” over all this top competitors.
Wizkid also emerged the winner for the ”Best African Act”. It was really a competitive category as the likes of Fireboy DML, Rema, Davido, Adekunle Gold, Tiwa Savage, Burna BOY, Master KG, NSG, Afro B and Shatta Wale were his competitors.
